Layers
Stick the shapes back on so the sheet matches the picture. A sticker goes on top; tap one to bring it to the top.
A new Layers puzzle every day
Everyone gets the same Layers puzzle each day, and a new one arrives at midnight your time. Monday and Tuesday are easy, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday are medium, and Friday and Saturday are the hardest of the week.
Solve it on consecutive days to build a streak, then share your time. A shared result shows your time and how many hints you used, never the solution. It has exactly one solution, and you can reach it by logic alone, with no guessing.
How to play Layers
- Someone stuck paper shapes onto a sheet, one after another, overlapping. The picture shows how it ended up.
- You have the same stickers in the tray. Stick them back on so your sheet looks exactly like the picture.
- A sticker goes on top of whatever is under it, and keeps the shape it has in the tray: no turning.
- Every sticker shows somewhere in the picture, so every one of them is used.
- The picture is printed on the sheet, so you can see what's still missing. A dot marks a spot that shows the wrong color.
Drag a sticker from the tray onto the sheet, or tap it and then tap where it goes. Drag a placed sticker to move it, drag it off the sheet to take it back, and tap it to bring it to the top. Undo has no limit, and only one set of spots makes the picture. On a keyboard, press Enter on a sticker in the tray to pick it up, the arrow keys to move it, and Enter again to put it down.
Solving tips
- Start with the stickers that show the most. Match the squares of its color in the picture against its shape in the tray, and there's often only one spot it fits.
- Bare sheet is a clue. A sticker can never cover a square that's bare in the picture.
- Overlaps tell you the order. Where two stickers overlap, the one you can see went on last. A spot that would put a sticker both over and under the same neighbor can't be right.
- Stuck? A hint shows where a sticker goes, and why.
