Turn the tiles so every wire meets another and they all join the power. Hold a tile to lock it.

Easy Circuits puzzles

Easy puzzles are 5×5. Start with the edges and corners, where most tiles can only face one way, and work inward from there.

They're the best place to get a feel for turning tiles before moving up.

Practice gives you puzzles you haven't solved yet, as many as you like, and keeps your best time without hints. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved by logic alone.

How to play Circuits

  1. Every tile holds a piece of wire: a dead end, a straight, a bend or a T.
  2. Tap a tile to turn it a quarter turn. It keeps its shape, only the way it faces changes.
  3. Turn them so every wire meets a wire on the next tile, and none points off the board.
  4. Everything has to join up into one network with the power source, the tile with the bolt.
  5. The dead ends are lamps. They light up when they're joined to the power, and when they all are, you've won.

Hold a tile, or right-click it, to lock it once you're sure, so it can't turn by accident. Undo has no limit, and every puzzle has exactly one solution. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move between tiles, Space or Enter to turn one (with Shift to turn it back), L to lock it and Ctrl+Z to undo.

Solving tips

  • Start at the edges. No wire can point off the board, so a straight along the edge, or a bend in a corner, can only face one way.
  • Work inward from what's settled. Once a tile is right, its neighbors have to meet it, or keep clear of it. Lock the tiles you're sure of.
  • Never close a loop. The finished network has no loops, so a turn that would join two wires that already join up is wrong.
  • Don't cut anything off. Two lamps facing each other, or any little group with no loose ends, can't reach the power. So that's not how they go.
  • Stuck? A hint points to a tile you can work out next, and says why.
